How to Safely Use a Handheld Bandsaw

Handheld band saws are commonly used portable cutting tools. Specifically divided into pneumatic hand-held band saws, lithium-ion hand-held saws and electric hand-held saws.

Taking COCH's 4.5-inch electric handheld saw DLY-10S1 as an example, how to safely use a handheld band saw to cut metal solid rods, plastic pipes or wood?

First, briefly introduce the DLY-10S1 cutting tool.

It can cut metal, non-metal, and can be applied to cutting operations in schools, mechanical workshops, construction sites and other places.Safe and harmless operationno spark, no ozone, no burr, low noise. The cutting surface is flat. This variable speed band saw is an excellent jobsite tool that includes an infinitely variable speed system for precise cutting of a wide variety of jobsite materials.

OPERATION

1.It is important to keep at least two teeth in the cut. Select the proper cutting position for your workpiece by referring to the figure. Use a devise to clamp the material to be cut at first.

2.Put on gloves. Hold the handheld band saw by both hands as shown in the figure with the stopper plate contacting the workpiece and the blade clear of the workpiece.

3.Turn the saw on and wait until the blade attains full speed. Gently lower the blade into the cut. The weight of the tool or slightly pressing the tool will supply adequate pressure for the cutting. Do not force the saw machine.

4.As you reach the end of a cut, release pressure and, without actually raising the saw, lift it slightly so that it will not fall against the workpiece.
